KCl 98% Overview
Potassium ions are small and fit well into the spaces between clay layers. When a KCl brine contacts reactive shale, potassium exchanges onto the clay and reduces its tendency to take up water and swell. This keeps cuttings firmer and helps hold the wellbore in gauge.
KCl is also used to make clear brines for completion and workover, and as a temporary clay stabiliser in fracturing and stimulation fluids. Our grade is 98%, which suits these oilfield duties.

Handling, Storage & Safety
