COROL PAC HV Overview
PAC is a water-soluble cellulose ether. Its long anionic chains adsorb on clay particles and help build a thin, low-permeability filter cake, which reduces filtrate loss into the formation. PAC is generally more tolerant of salt and hardness than standard CMC, so it works in fresh-water, seawater and KCl muds.
The HV grade adds significant viscosity as well as fluid-loss control, which helps carry cuttings. Where viscosity must stay low, our COROL CMC LV or COROL PAC LV is the better choice.

Handling, Storage & Safety
PAC is not classified as hazardous in most cases, but fine polymer dust can irritate the eyes and airways and may form combustible dust clouds. Store bags in a dry place, as the powder absorbs moisture. Spilled PAC becomes very slippery when wet. Use dust masks and eye protection and follow the SDS.
