Diethylene Glycol (DEG) is a clear, colourless and almost odourless glycol that mixes with water and many organic solvents. It is used as a solvent, a humectant and an intermediate in resin and chemical manufacturing. Corofy is a diethylene glycol supplier in UAE, serving buyers from its Dubai base.
We supply DEG to lubricant and automotive-fluid blenders, resin and chemical manufacturers and general industrial users in the UAE, the GCC and export markets in Africa and Asia. It sits within our lubricant and automobile chemicals portfolio.
Diethylene Glycol Overview
DEG is formed alongside monoethylene glycol when ethylene oxide is hydrated. Its two hydroxyl groups and ether link give it a high boiling point, low volatility and strong affinity for water, which makes it useful as a hygroscopic agent and a solvent.
Chemically, DEG is a building block for unsaturated polyester resins, polyurethanes and plasticisers, and it is used as a component in some heat-transfer and antifreeze formulations.
DEG is less volatile than monoethylene glycol and more viscous. Where a formulation needs a glycol that stays in place rather than evaporating, such as a humectant or a plasticiser, DEG is often the preferred choice. Its toxicity means it is reserved strictly for technical and industrial uses.

Why Choose Corofy for Diethylene Glycol
Corofy supplies DEG with batch documentation and logistics suited to regular industrial demand.
- Consistent quality backed by a COA for every lot
- Dubai and JAFZA stock for fast regional delivery
- Drum supply for smaller users, larger packs on request
- Experienced export team for GCC and African shipments
For regular users we can plan deliveries around a production schedule so that stock is ready when it is needed, and we can supply MEG and other glycols on the same order.
Handling, Storage & Safety
DEG is harmful if swallowed and must never be used in food, medicines or other products for ingestion. Keep containers tightly closed because the product absorbs moisture from the air, and store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from strong oxidisers. Wear gloves and eye protection, and follow the SDS.
