MAPOL CO is a range of castor oil ethoxylates at 54, 36 and 40 moles of ethylene oxide. As a castor oil ethoxylate supplier in UAE, Corofy offers these non-ionic emulsifiers for emulsifiable concentrate (EC) pesticide, herbicide and fungicide formulations.
Corofy ships MAPOL CO from Dubai to the agrochemical formulation industry across the UAE, the GCC, Africa and Asia. The three grades let formulators choose how hydrophilic the emulsifier should be for their solvent and active ingredient.
MAPOL CO Overview
Castor oil ethoxylates are made by ethoxylating castor oil, a natural triglyceride rich in ricinoleic acid. The result is a non-ionic surfactant with a vegetable-oil base, rather than the phenolic base of nonylphenol or styrenated phenol ethoxylates. The number in each grade name gives the moles of ethylene oxide: CO54 is the most hydrophilic of the three, while CO36 and CO40 are slightly more oil-compatible.
In EC formulations, castor oil ethoxylates are widely used as the non-ionic partner to calcium alkylbenzene sulfonate. They help the concentrate emulsify quickly in water, solubilise active ingredients and support emulsion stability. The vegetable-oil base also makes them a common choice for formulators reducing their use of alkylphenol ethoxylates.
MAPOL CO Specifications
Product Identification
- Product Name: MAPOL CO54 / CO36 / CO40
Packaging & Documentation
- Documentation: COA, SDS / MSDS available
All three MAPOL CO grades are packed in 220 kg drums with a COA and SDS. When choosing between them, formulators usually start from the solvent: more aromatic solvent systems and oilier actives may call for one of the lower-EO grades, while CO54 helps where a more hydrophilic emulsifier is needed. Blending two grades is also common to reach an intermediate balance.
Applications of MAPOL CO
MAPOL CO grades are used in crop protection and in general formulation work where a non-ionic emulsifier or solubiliser is needed.
Emulsifiable Concentrates
- Non-ionic emulsifier paired with an anionic CABS emulsifier such as CORSA L70B.
- Grade selection tunes the emulsifier system to the solvent and active.
Solubilising and Emulsion Stability
- Helps solubilise oily actives and adjuvants in the formulation.
- Supports spontaneous emulsification and stable dilutions in the spray tank.
Alternative to Alkylphenol Ethoxylates
- Used where a formulator prefers a vegetable-oil-based non-ionic surfactant.
- Suitable for building pre-blended emulsifier packages.
Why Choose Corofy for MAPOL CO

- Fast dispatch from JAFZA, Dubai
- Technical help matching MAPOL CO with an anionic partner
Handling, Storage & Safety
Store MAPOL CO in closed drums in a cool, dry, covered area and keep it away from strong oxidisers. It may cause eye irritation, so use eye protection and gloves when handling, and prevent spills reaching drains. Refer to the SDS for full handling, storage and first-aid instructions.
