COMOL SF is based on sodium naphthalene formaldehyde sulfonate (SNF), an anionic surfactant used in powder formulations. COMOL SF Overview
SNF is made by condensing naphthalene sulfonic acid with formaldehyde and neutralising with sodium. The product is a water-soluble anionic polymer that adsorbs on particle surfaces. It is best known as a dispersant, but in powder formulations it also helps water penetrate and wet the powder.
Corofy offers two SNF-based products. COMOL SF is positioned as the wetting grade for WP and fertiliser products, where fast wetting of the powder in water is the main requirement. COMOL DN is positioned as a combined wetting and dispersing grade, used where the powder also has to stay well dispersed after it has wetted.
