HYDRONEX DP02 Overview
HYDRONEX DP02 is a proprietary dispersant within Corofy's HYDRONEX water-treatment line. Dispersants work by adsorbing onto fine particles and giving them a surface charge, so the particles repel each other instead of clumping and settling on surfaces.
Unlike HYDRONEX CT1001, which combines corrosion and scale inhibition, DP02 is focused on dispersion. It can be used on its own or alongside corrosion and scale inhibitors in a full treatment programme, depending on the system.
Dispersants are especially useful in systems that pick up airborne dust and sand, as many cooling systems in the Gulf do, or where corrosion products and process leaks add solids to the water. Keeping these solids moving helps the other treatment chemicals reach clean metal surfaces.
